  This is a solid state Magnecord 1022 stereo reel to reel recorder with microphone preamps.

I was very impressed the the microphone preamps and the preamp and deck both have there own power

cord so you can save about half on shipping if you just wanted the stereo preamp to use as a microphone preamp.

I checked the deck for playback and it plays fine and transport tape good, but I did not test to see if it recorded.

I can send a Xerox copy of a manual for a 1021 (mono version) with it. This machine is 1/4 track stereo with a switchable

1/2 track playback head. It runs on 3 3/4 and 7 1/2 and uses the 7 inch reels or smaller.
