I am in the process of building a hotsaw out of this. It is Makita's biggest saw now that they
stopped making the 7901 so the first step is to outfit it with a Dolmar 7900 piston and cylinder. - next I ported it and built a pipe.
- I converted it back to a firewood cutting saw for everyday use by putting the stock muffler back on it and installing the 84cc big bore kit
- and heavy duty air filter kit. Below is a movie of me falling an Elm tree and cutting it up with this configuration.
